AGO beat eXtatus to qualify for Pro League Season 7
Following their 2-0 victory over eXtatus (16-14 on Mirage, 16-11 on Train), AGO have secured their place in the ESL Pro League Season 7.
The European battle for a place in the next ESL Pro League season kicked off on Mirage, eXtatus' map pick. Despite securing the T-side pistol, the Czech-Slovakian mix could not follow that up, allowing AGO to take control of proceedings.
Down 7-2, eXtatus managed to get back in the game thanks to a 1v2 clutch from Jindřich "ZEDKO" Chyba, and, thanks to that, began racking up rounds, eventually bringing the deficit to a minimum by half-time.
The beginning of the second half saw the Poles pick up the pistol, but, just like in the first half, the first round winner could struggled in anti-eco situations. AGO would not let their guard down, however, and kept pressing on eXtatus to prevail in a game that went to all 30-rounds.
Next up was Train, AGO's map pick. AGO won their second pistol of the series while playing as CTs, and even though eXtatus secured three rounds in a row after winning the first gun round, Mateusz "TOAO" Zawistowski's men would easily bag an 11-4 half-time lead.
In the second half, eXtatus picked up their CT pistol win, but a third-round buy from Damian "Furlan" Kislowski and his teammates set themselves up for a 14-6 lead. eXtatus then found a lifeline in the series by winning five of the next six rounds, but that would be too little, too late, as AGO went on to finish off the game, 16-11, and book their place in the ESL Pro League Season 7.
