AGO dismantle Ghost Academy; through to MDL final

AGO have booked their spot in the ESEA Season 26 MDL Global Challenge final following a comprehensive victory over Ghost Academy.

The series kicked off on Train, which turned out to be a horrible pick for Ghost Academy, who could not counter AGO's aggressive stance and only managed to plant the bomb 11 rounds into the game - and still could not hold the site.

The North American team finally managed to get a round on the board in the 14th round, thanks to Jason "neptune" Tran winning a 1v1, with Jarod "Douglas" Onorato pulling off a triple-kill in the next round to bring the deficit to 2-13.

More misery was about to come Ghost Academy's way as AGO won the pistol round off of three kills from Damian "Furlan" Kislowski, with the Polish side following that up with the next two rounds to lock down the map, 16-2.

AGO breeze past Ghost Academy

Overpass followed the same pattern as the first map, even if Ghost Academy's first round came much earlier than it had on Train. Once again, the North Americans could not string rounds together or build up an economy, with the half ending in a lopsided 13-2 scoreline in AGO's favour.

AGO further added to their lead by taking the pistol round after Furlan and Michał "snatchie" Rudzki shut down the B site. A successful force buy then gave Ghost Academy some breathing room, but once the Polish team got money in the bank it was all over for the home side, with Dominik "GruBy" Swiderski hammering the final nail into the North Americans' coffin with a 1v2 clutch in the final round.

You confuse the ghost academy with the ghost of the first division of the ESL. This NA team is just to form players. Already AGO has finished above virtus pro and will be the team to represent poland in ESL.
2018-01-07 06:47
lol dude AGO would easily take 16-10 16-10 real ghost xd

AGO is a good team because he also beat virtus pro for the same result (2-0), now finding that the ghost academy represents NA is a joke.

NA should have max. 2 spots, 1 for AU/Asia and the rest for EU. It's not a surprise the top 3 are all EU and the only NA team in playoffs can't even get 8 rounds in a BO3.
2018-01-07 00:23
+1 everywhere where ESL/ESEA or other organizers split up regions, they end up in equal amount teams that are going through. This is joke thus level of EU is much much higher
2018-01-07 00:26
original plan was 3 EU, 3 NA, 1 SA and 1 OCE

Lmao, you retard, these are the teams from Premier in NA and EU. More than half of the teams in the ESL Pro League in NA would have a hard time getting into top 8 in EU Premier, so don't tell me NA should get more than 3 spots in the LAN finals.

I don't think so. They should have just lost 16-0 16-0 and then they could have said they weren't trying but since they won 7 rounds clearly they were trying :D
