Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan, Sean "seang@res" Gares and Hunter "SicK" Mims are free to explore their options after their contracts with Misfits expired, according to a report from Dust2.us.
Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan took to Twitter to announce his free agency in the aftermath of Misfits' defeat to AVANGAR in the ELEAGUE Major Boston Qualifier, which sent the North American team packing with a 1-3 record.
And, according to Dust2.us, the contracts of Sean "seang@res" Gares and Hunter "SicK" Mims have also expired, leaving the team's North American trio free to discuss terms with other organisations as Misfits have not yet offered an extension.
François "AmaNEk" Delaunay and David "devoduvek" Dobrosavljevic remain tied to the North American organisation until March, according to a December report from independent journalist Jarek "DeKay" Lewis, but their future plans are unclear at this point, with less than a month left until the ESL Pro League Season 7 kicks off.
Misfits expanded into CS:GO in January 2017 with the signing of the former TSM lineup. Since joining the North American organisation, the team's achievements include semi-final runs at DreamHack Open Tours and at the ESL Pro League Season 6 Finals, and a first-place finish in the CyberPowerPC Extreme Gaming Series Fall 2017.
My contract with @MisfitsGG ended today. We haven't been offered a re-sign yet, so until then I am a free agent and exploring options.— Shahzeb Khan (@ShahZaMk) January 15, 2018
