Renegades send Sprout packing in Atlanta

Renegades are through to the fifth Swiss round at the ELEAGUE Major Main Qualifier after beating Sprout 16-10 on Cobblestone.

The match began with Renegades bagging a quick 3-0 lead as Terrorists, and calling a tactical timeout before playing the first gun round. With Justin "jks" Savage lurking on A, the Australian team easily took control of B to further add to their lead.

That was when Sprout finally managed to hold off the Australians. That was the start of a great run from the German team, who bagged six rounds straight. A 2v3 clutch from jks and Aaron "AZR" Ward put Renegades back in the game, but the former PENTA team regained control of proceedings and closed out the half with a 10-5 lead.

Renegades are one victory away from qualifying for the Major

Renegades did not want to throw in towel, so they jumped into the second half ready to turn things around. After picking up the pistol round, Noah "Nifty" Francis's team kept stringing rounds together, and, with Sprout failing to find a breach in their defense, they locked down the map with a flawless CT-side.

I said I'll watch this Major if Renegades qualifies and SS, nV doesn't. At least RNG can still do that thing...

Huge mental win for the aussies, if sprout would have won that second pistol it could have been 16-5 quickly. Overall impressive win
