The two-stage online tournament Farmskins Championship #2, that will feature some notable European teams, will have the eventual winner earn a spot at the $500,000 tournament in Poland.
The qualifying process for IEM Katowice 2018, for the most part, still follows the standard open and closed qualifier system that we saw for ESL's tournaments in the past, but this time, one LAN slot will be given out through a third-party tournament, the Farmskins Championship #2 organized by UCC.
Each group will be played out as a double-elimination bracket, with only the winners advancing to the second stage. One of the teams that should debut in the tournament is Enyoy, Mikail "Maikelele" Bill's new team that also features the likes of Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi and Markus "pronax" Wallsten.
After the first stage is completed, the four group winners will be joined by four invited teams in the second stage, which will be played out as a single-elimination bracket from February 7th onwards.
