mousesports edge past Space Soldiers to qualify for Major playoffs

mousesports have secured the final spot in the ELEAGUE Major Boston's knockout rounds after defeating Space Soldiers by a 16-13 scoreline.

The final match in Atlanta began with two great plays from Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli, who opened up the B site in the pistol round with three frags before clutching a 1v2 situation in the following round. Space Soldiers would not be able to go for the perfect 3-0 start, however, as mousesports hit back on eco thanks to Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný winning a 1v1 against Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş.

mousesports added the next two rounds to their tally to take the lead for the first time in the game, which then entered a keenly-contested period as the teams struggled to string rounds together, with the half ending in a close 8-7 scoreline in Space Soldiers' favour.

mousesports are through to the playoffs

Now playing as Terrorists, mousesports looked set to win the pistol round after taking control of the A site with two entry frags from Robin "ropz" Kool, but then Engin "ngiN" Kor and MAJ3R defied the odds and turned it around in a 2v4 situation.

A third-round buy from mousesports paid dividends and sparked a great run from the European mixture, who won five rounds in a row to take a 12-10 lead. Space Soldiers then got their first full gun round of the half after denying a B execution, but mousesports rallied back immediately thanks to three AWP kills from oskar, who by now had amassed an impressive 27 frags.

After watching mousesports hit 14 rounds, Buğra "Calyx" Arkın offered his team a sliver of hope as he pulled off a miraculous 1v2 clutch to prevent an economic reset. However, a comeback was not on the cards as the Terrorists won back-to-back rounds to seal a hard-fought victory and book a spot in the last-eight stage of the tournament.

Me too, the skeptic part of me was expecting another 2-3 exit in groups. so happy for Mouz! :) and GG's to SS, definitely did not disappoint the spectators, they gave every team (except G2) a run for their money. Probably a future legend, just need more exposure to pro teams (and need to get into EPL)
2018-01-23 05:12
After the 16:14 vs QBF my nerves were rekt, I couldnt watch the match vs SS. I have seen mouz fail in the last Moment so many times that I knew it would be a possibility. But now I am happy and relieved
