After being without a roster since mid-2017, the North American organization Ronin assembled a new lineup headed by David "Xp3" Garrido.
The core of the roster played their first matches at the beginning of the month, but only finalized their five-man lineup today, a day after competing in the IEM Katowice 2018 Open Qualifier where they ended 5-8th.
The team will feature the 30-year-old veteran David "Xp3" Garrido, Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce, who recently had a stint in NRG, and three very young players. The eldest of them is Jonathan "Jonji" Carey with 18, Jeff "RZU" Ngo and Collin "wrath" McSweegan are 17 and 16, respectively. While this is RZU's biggest team yet, the other two players have experience at this level: Jonji made his breakthrough with Rise Nation and wrath was a member of Rogue last year, but ended up leaving the team in dramatic fashion.
Rounding up the roster is Kyle "flowsicK" Mendez, who will be acting as the coach. RONIN's main competition, for the time being, will be the ESEA MDL Season 27, which they will kick off in a couple hours against Orion.
RONIN will be represented by the following lineup:
