Artyk win KODE5 Latin America

The last qualifier this weekend has founds its end – Artyk winners of KODE5 Latin America.

The entire Latin America (except Brazil) was gathered in Lima, Peru this weekend. KODE5 Latin America should find the one team, going to KODE5 Global Finals. Eight teams found their way to the playoffs, ending up seeing XIX from Venezuela taking on Artyk from Peru, in the all deciding final.

The final being played best of three, should need all three maps to determine the winner. Losing the first map, but then winning the two next, Artyk from Peru secured the overall win at KODE5 Latin America and will be going to KODE5 Global Finals.

kode5.gamersco.com/?page_id=6 bad host. Besides the grand final demo you should see demos from art of war (mexico) and v1f (chile), they played really good in that event.

Few years ago they got overrunned by sYnck, but I guess they have practised a lot, and now they could beat decent European teams.

wcg 2007 @ seattle, then they beat prodigy and the rest of their group. They were eliminated by eMg after groups. They only have two players from that wcg (warpath&xock), the others in this roster joined artyk just 2 months after they return from seattle.

The user refers to the fact that some players from Artyk besides their nick feature two forenames, in some cases, and two surnames making a total amount of 5 "names" ;)

How come both teams needed 2 maps, was there no double elimination? Seems strange that KODE5 doesn't have the same rules everywhere.
