ELEAGUE announces new Premier tournament

MIRAA
January 28th, 2018 18:10

ELEAGUE has revealed the first details about its next tournament, called ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2018, which will be held in the summer.

Taking place at the ELEAGUE Arena, in Atlanta, the tournament will feature just eight teams, who will be drawn into a double-elimination, best-of-three group, running from July 21-25.

The top four teams from the group will secure spots in the single-elimination playoffs, which will culminate with the grand final on Sunday, July 29. No details about the prize fund for the tournament have so far been released.

FaZe won the first ELEAGUE Premier tournament

The announcement was made live on stream during the special pre-match programming ahead of the ELEAGUE Major Boston final, which will pit FaZe against Cloud9.

ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2018 will be broadcast exclusively on Twitch, with which Turner Sports recently agreed an exclusivity deal.

This will be the second ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier tournament, and the fourth non-Major competition hosted by Turner Sports. ELEAGUE Premier 2017 ran from September 8 to October 13 and was topped by FaZe, who won the lion's share of the tournament's $1 million prize pool.

2018-01-28 20:38
I think i rather see VP and NiP instead of gambit and navi, I wanna see how strong NiP is and i wanna see VP breaking their fking slump and start getting their shit together again xD

We’ve waited nearly a year for the slump to end, doesn’t seem like anything’s happening anytime soon without a roster change
2018-01-28 19:08
they played good until mid 2017 tbh.
2018-01-28 19:17
They looked like they were goin gto be the best team fo the year fo rthe first part of 2017 for a while, then suddenly PRUUUUUUUUU
2018-01-28 19:17
nice joke, they never looked like the best team
2018-01-28 20:41
Guess u came into the scene a little late buddy :)
2018-01-28 20:42
nt newfag, astralis was best at the start of the year.
2018-01-28 20:47
eleage major, yes. after the major vp beat both astralis and SK in the next 2 events in the finals. totally smashed astralis 16/8 and 16/12 (i think?) something lie kthat, also smashed SK. but nt newfag ;*
2018-01-28 20:48
Astralis won major versus VP in final and IEM where VP went out 8th and they also got 2nd at starldadder where VP went 12-14th. VP only won Vegas where Astralis was 3-4th. nt newfag. Astralis > VP early and late year.

nono i accept that there are better teams than gambit. but vp? cmon
2018-01-28 19:21
If you're trying to say that gambit>Vp I'll have to disagree. Well right now gambit sure as hell are stronger then vp. But i still believe that vp is in a huge slump since the eleague major 2017 where they choked 2 13-7 leads vs astralis in the grand final.. was a really sad one to watch. I, personally, maybe its biased. but personally i believe that vp can beat gambit, obvioulsy not like they're playing now but u know what i mean :>

man they getting old, they maybe dont see the game as younger people anymore. look at pasha for example, he has a family. i think the big times of vp are over. but snax and byali are still young, they will find other teams.
2018-01-28 19:29
Papa is playing better than byali right now. snax is playing decent, neo still good. taz played good this major tbh. I think they'll come back strong next event.
2018-01-28 19:29
all played good but 0-3 with 16 rounds won lmao
2018-01-28 19:38
xD clearly delusional this guy
2018-01-28 19:56
Taz played good. did 1v3 clutches and shit. papa hit his awp shots, byali and snax playing like dogcrap and neo, well idk about neo.
2018-01-28 20:33
Slump for a whole year? I arent think that Its time for a change, some players are washed up and clearly lost motivation (PUBG and LoL before tournaments are you kidding me)
