V4 Future Sports Festival invites revealed; FaZe, mouz to attend

The list of invited teams for the V4 Future Sports Festival has been revealed, with FaZe, mousesports, Virtus.pro and HellRaisers set to attend the event in Budapest, Hungary.

V4 Future Sports Festival has been announced at the beginning of January, with its massive €500,000 (~$597,000) prize pool instantly raising eyebrows. The tournament is hosted by Egymillióan a magyar esportért Egyesület (Association of One Million People for Hungarian Esports) with the support of the Hungarian Digital Success Program, and will take place in the country's capital, Budapest, on March 23-25.

FaZe are one of the four invited teams

The tournament is aimed at the V4 countries, a region that includes Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Poland, and therefore, only teams that are in some way connected to the region were considered for invites.

Today, the four invited teams have been announced. They are: FaZe, who were invited on the basis of Ladislav "⁠GuardiaN⁠" Kovács from Slovakia, MOUZ, who have the best Czech player Tomáš "⁠oskar⁠" Šťastný, HellRaisers, who feature a Hungarian player in Bence "⁠DeadFox⁠" Böröcz, and Virtus.pro, who are a fully Polish lineup.

Half of the teams that will attend the event are now known:

FaZe	MOUZ
Virtus.pro	HellRaisers
CZ/SK qualifier	CZ/SK qualifier
Polish qualifier	Hungarian qualifier

The remaining four slots will be filled through national qualifiers. Poland and Hungary have independent qualifiers which each yield one spot at the main event, while the qualifiers for Czech Republic and Slovakia will be a combined, with two slots for the main tournament up for grabs. Some of the qualifiers for the tournament are already underway, with more details available on ESL's website.

V4 Future Sports Festival's €500,000 prize pool will be distributed in the following way:

1. €200,000 (~$238,000)
2. €100,000 (~$119,000)
3-4. €50,000 (~$59,750)
5-8. €25,000 (~$29,870)

HR is a decent upset team(there will be a lot of HR fans cuz of Deadfox) and VP might turn up,there is always a small chance(and the crowd will be bonkers because of them too) From CZ/SK we could get extatus which is an ok team,from PL we can get AGO which is ok too.And GameAgents(most likely to qualify) showed some potential at WESG but they need experience,who knows,they might make some close matches Imo it's a decent field for an event like this,even though the money is a bit too much for the caliber but that's not a problem

I know, but this isn’t just about to populate eSports in Hungary/V4, I mean it shouldn’t. Many teams, halfpros doesn’t became anything, because it’s hard to live by this. Giving money to these teams would be a great help to develop themselves. I know what the Hungarian CSGO scene is like, many many talented, skilled players, who worth more are not able to step over. Teams are changing weekly etc. Events with these prizes would be a great reason to them, to finally stay together, practice more and achive.

Clearly you are not smart enough to understand the point I'm making. I don't blame you though. Given who you are a fan of and where you're from I don't expect you to have much intellect. The goal of this tournament is to inspire growth and competitive play in the region. By inviting teams like mousesports and Faze they are also inviting the chance for Faze to obliterate anyone who qualifies which could lead to less people being interested in that region since they know Faze will be invited to any event solely because one player is from that region. Imagine when they were trying to grow the CS scene in Brazil if they held a tournament in 2014 and decided to invite Fnatic. That seem like a good idea to you?
