AGO extend contracts until 2020; add two coaches
Following investment into the organization, AGO has renewed contracts with the team and has added two new coaches to the squad.
A team composed of two Polish veterans and three rookies didn't take long to click, with AGO breaking into the top 30 of our rankings three months after putting the squad together. The Polish team achieved some notable results since, with the most recent ones being qualifying for ESL Pro League and winning ESEA MDL Global Challenge.
Today, AGO revealed that they have received investment from the former Legia Warsaw football club owners—Bogusław Leśnodorski, Maciej Wandzel, and Jakub Szumielewicz—which allows them to "enter the next phase of the team's development".
With newly allocated resources, AGO has renewed contracts with the five players and the coach, which tie them to the organization until 2020.
Alongside that, two new coaches have been hired to help out the team: Maciek "maCOP" Opielski, who will help with individual training and tactical analysis, and Sebastian "Krzepki" Krzepota, Legia Warsaw's former physical trainer who will focus on the players' health, diet, as well as the mental aspect.
AGO has also revealed a redesigned logo, and that the "AGO Training Center", a place where the team is set to base its operations and bootcamp from, is currently being built and will be operational in March.
With the added support, AGO are hoping their team can reach tier 1 status in 2018:
"The plan is to make a great interdisciplinary esports organization based on the best know-how from traditional sports. Rebranding is one of the first steps, together with introduction of new coaches and building the AGO Training Center. We will be mastering our CS:GO team management and will give them full support, hopefully making it possible that they join Tier 1 teams in 2018." - Jakub Szumielewicz, CEO of AGO
AGO's now has the following team:
Dominik "GruBy" Swiderski
Damian "Furlan" Kislowski
Mateusz "TOAO" Zawistowski
Michał "snatchie" Rudzki
Tomasz "phr" Wójcik
Mikołaj "miNirox" Michałków (Tactical Coach)
