Hobbit takes over as Gambit IGL

Abay "Hobbit" Khasenov has revealed that he has taken over the in-game leader role on Gambit.

The decision follows Gambit's disappointing campaign at ELEAGUE Major Boston, where the PGL Major Krakow champions were sent packing in the New Legends Stage following defeats to Quantum Bellator Fire, SK and fnatic.

Mihail "⁠Dosia⁠" Stolyarov had recently taken on the in-game leader role to let Dauren "⁠AdreN⁠" Kystaubayev "play the way he had played" when Danylo "⁠Zeus⁠" Teslenko was on the roster and be the star of the team", Bektiyar "⁠fitch⁠" Bahytov said while at the Major. But the team's early exit in Atlanta prompted yet another role swap - the third since Zeus left to rejoin Natus Vincere.

Hobbit is Gambit's new IGL

Abay "⁠HObbit⁠" Khassenov, who was named the 11th best player of 2017, averaged a 0.88 rating at ELEAGUE Major Boston - his worst tournament rating since joining Gambit in 2016.
