dignitas sign SoaR roster
dignitas have announced their return to CS:GO by signing the former SoaR roster.
The news comes only a few weeks after dignitas parted ways with the remaining members of their team, with the US-based organisation stating at the time that they had plans to remain involved in the scene.
The former SoaR team raised eyebrows by securing a spot in ESL Pro League Season 7 after beating Rise Nation at the ESEA MDL Season 26 North America Finals, in New York.
In his official statement, Matthew "mCe" Elmore expressed his feelings regarding this move:
"I never could have imagined being part of such a historic organization [Philadelphia 76ers], especially one that I have grown up watching. I have witnessed many esports pioneers play under the Team Dignitas name and it is inspiring that we too will play for the same organization", mCe said.
"Team Dignitas is storied throughout Counter-Strike history and we've got a lot to live up wearing the banner. That's what drives our team. I have placed a lot of pressure on this team to succeed because we are so young and ready to prove ourselves. We are extremely excited to start making our names become synonymous with Team Dignitas like so many players have before us."
The North American team join dignitas after recently adding Mitch "mitch" Semago to their roster to replace Ryan "Snakes" Amann, who is unable to play in the Pro League due to the ESL age limit. The squad look as follows:
Matthew "mCe" Elmore
Logan "Voltage" Long
Jack "xCeeD" Holiman
Michael "Grim" Wince
Mitch "mitch" Semago
Josh "shinobi" Abastado (coach)
Welcome our new North American #CSGO team, @MatthewCElmore, @oneVoltage, @xCeeD_CS, @1grimcs & @mitchcsgo!
