OpTic Gaming have formally announced their new Counter-Strike team, led by Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz.
During his previous stint with OpTic, Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz most notably led the team to success at ELEAGUE Season 2 and to a runner-up finish at the ECS Season 2 Finals.
The Canadian player will reunite with Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan, who had a brief spell with the organisation in early 2016 before being replaced by Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas. The 24-year-old's future had been hanging in the balance since the end of the ELEAGUE Major Boston New Challengers Stage, when the contracts of Misfits' North American players expired.
They will be joined by three Danish players, all hailing from North: René "cajunb" Borg and Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke, both of whom had recently been benched by the Danish organisation, and Nicklas "gade" Gade, who had spent the last ten months plying his trade for North Academy.
OpTic have not yet commented on the situation of Adam "friberg" Friberg, Aleksi "allu" Jalli and Kevin "HS" Tarn, the remaining members of the organisation's previous roster. Earlier on Tuesday, OpTic parted ways with mixwell and Emil "Magisk" Reif, with the Danish player being later revealed as Astralis' newest fifth member.
The Danish team will be coached by Chet "ImAPet" Singh, who has announced on Twitter that he will remain part of OpTic after it was rumoured that he was assessing his options.
