Team Liquid advance to the champions bracket to face SK after defeating Heroic 2-0 (16-9 on Mirage, 16-1 on Train).

The lower bracket final kicked off on Liquid's map pick, Mirage, where the Danes' patience paid off as Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen and Andreas "MODDII" Fridh picked up two-kills each to secure the pistol. Heroic were unable to pick up subsequent rounds as Liquid's Deagles rained down in the anti-eco, adding two more to their lead. Jakob "JUGi" Hansen and niko finally put a stop to Liquid's streak with a firm defensive hold on a quick push on B.

Heroic seemed to have the following round with their mid-control, but the tides turned when Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken created a 2v2 with Keith "NAF" Markovic to help secure the round by trapping Patrick "es3tag" Hansen with a molotov in ladder. After the Danes' save round, a late A-execute from Liquid was disrupted by MODDII's double and JUGi's triple, but once again Heroic could not follow up as the North Americans stamped two more on their lead.

Heroic finally found some ground with upgraded pistols when Liquid decided to make a late rotation to B where niko secured the 1v3 with a double. The hectic round gave Heroic momentum to pick up three more to tie the game late, 7-7. However, Liquid's smooth entry on B forced the Danes' to retake, which allowed Nick "nitr0" Cannella to secure a 3v2 and the half, 8-7.

EliGE dominated in the lower bracket final sweep over Heroic

Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski came out on top for Liquid in the second pistol round over es3tag's 2v2 post-plant, with a double on the retake for the defuse. The North Americans went on to pick up two more before Heroic got their first of the half, however, Liquid would return with five-straight to reach map point. es3tag came close to keeping his team in the game with a triple kill in a 1v4 post-plant situation, but fell short in the 1v1 against NAF. who would secure the defuse, 16-9.

Liquid got off to a smooth start on the CT-side of Heroic's map pick, Train, securing the pistol and anti-eco's. Liquid continued their dominance through the first-half, taking an 8-0 lead before the Danes' finally got on the board. es3tag came up huge for Heroic to complete the ACE on top of a 1v2 post-plant situation. Hansens's efforts didn't spark life in the Heroic defense as Liquid took the half, 14-1.

Liquid pressed on in the second half to clean up the last two rounds as the Danes' tried everything to get back into the game. Liquid will now advance to the consolidation final against the Brazilians of SK.

If he continues to struggle I’m sure they will find a main awper, nifty would be nice imo he could hip them. obviously this is his first tourney with them so it doesn’t mean much

Elige is back Bois. Also fuck the haters steel, it's just like TACO, silvers don't understand the importance of each person's role in their respective teams.

Steel is fine, even if Nitr0 is still calling Steel does all the support and ugly work he used to do. We're seeing the best of Nitr0 on almost 2 years and there isn't many NA players better than him when he's on form. If Liquid kick steel they need to get someone really good, a better support than steel (NA doesn't really have good supports to pick from) or a really top player (Nifty won't make them better).

People already complaining about steel when he just barely joined.. Give him some times.. Also steel is a support, he is not supposed to be the guy shining .. but make starplayers like EliGe / NAF / Twistzzzz / nitro ( Line the useless mention ) shine even more..
