NAF wins cs_summit 2 MVP award

MIRAA
February 12th, 2018 02:16

Liquid's newest member Keith "NAF" Markovic is the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of cs_summit 2 by HLTV.org & Betway.

The 20-year-old capped off a fantastic tournament with a team-leading 1.30 rating in the final against Cloud9, putting in above-average ratings on all four maps.

With his final performance, Keith "NAF" Markovic beat Cloud9's William "RUSH" Wierzba, who was also a strong candidate for the award after averaging a 1.22 rating throughout the event and finishing all matches with 1+ ratings. Before the title decider, the list of MVP candidates also included Timothy "autimatic" Ta, Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham and Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski.

NAF gets his second MVP medal

NAF ended the tournament with an average 1.23 rating, second only to Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså's 1.31, and was in the top five in 13 other categories, leading in KDD (+50), percentage of rounds with at least one kill (52.7%), clutches (6) and opening frags (46).

This is NAF's second MVP medal, after he also won the honour at SL i-League Invitational Shanghai while playing under Renegades.

salty cuz SK is no longer top1 ? salty cuz SK lost to Americans? "negative scoring against sk" the only reason you say this is because you hate NAF for carrying liquid to victory and because they beat sk, otherwise you wont trash talk him with tiniest reason, even if NAF didn't deserve MVP who do you think does, twistzz? and if twistzz gets it you would find other bad ratings and criticize him, a true Brazilian will congratulate the winner not criticize them, you are a shame of your country plus it must be hard living in the jungle give me your paypal i'll send you some money so you can buy some data to reply me :) Edit: why would I be salty?? you are obviously the salty one LUL

it seemed to me that liquid felt bad for what happened to him and boltz, so they took him in.
2018-02-12 03:12
BTW i forgot to say, what a stupid thing that would be. There is no place for that. comprimising a lineup, they want to WIN. Otherwise they would've just kept jdm who wasn't having the impact a dedicated AWPer needs to have Good thing zews speaks great English and knows the FalleN/GamesAcademy system, knows steel for many years and can guide him when it comes to comms and his place in the team. He will have big games and rarely have a bad game even if in tough spots.. I'd bet money on it, Liquid brand is kicking ass lately Win DOTA2 international Win Dreamhack Denver in Quake Champions sacrifice 4v4 Win Dreamhack Winter in both duel and sacrifice Round out CSGO team after almost 18 months with zews, showing constant progression, and win first tournament in, well ever ? They have a good PUBG team saw some of IEM and SCOOM to name just one is a monster, the map they won he was insane and they are definitely highly competitive there Don't know what other games they are in, but clearly they don't fuck around and buy someone as a charity case, hmm ?
2018-02-12 03:29
No, give it time they will integrate him and he will look like RUSH, a very solid player who can hold hard spots, make plays when the team is in trouble mid round, and gamesense will show in clutches too. If they put him as entry in some maps he will be underrated like TACO but a vital piece, but I think it could be a mistake.. need more time to really have an opinion but thats how I think about him at the moment. Very stable player worth keeping alive to at least mid round on T side, and playing solo or hard spots on CT and backing up someone like Twistzz when making plays. Sure he can fill many roles, and don't know how they are gonna use him, but that's what ZEWSGOD is for right :D Sick lineup.. give it 3 months to evaluate the team and steel fully and lets see.. very confident he will prove doubters wrong, he was a key part of IMT success when calling and as he gets comfortable with the other guys and the team comms get really good, he should shine
2018-02-12 03:23
Huh hltv has never double posted me before It even has the same post number
2018-02-12 04:16
get rekt hltv :D
2018-02-12 14:22
That's a really good analysis and maybe he then fits in with their plan of making nitro a more aggressive player Him being a solid supportive player also would be critical to liquids flexible hybrid awping strategies too, especially since they seem to favor double awping I think he'll really prove his value on ct sides but yeah for sure I'll be interested in how zews develops him
2018-02-12 04:13
+1 Absolutely. And people keep forgetting Steel was IGL. Two IGL's in a match will make 200iq, especially since both can frag. He just needs to find his fit.
2018-02-12 07:04
Once they iron out all the finer points of comms his calls will be valuable for nitr0, zews has done a great job nitr0 has become a formidable leader and puts up big numbers and impact ! zews speaks English pretty much perfectly so that will help ! TL a super org, getting to the top in CSGO is a huge challenge and the progress has been steady, now they have the big boy pieces to work with its gonna be hard to stop them. We are blessed as viewers Being pro is easy say some.. they get paid too much say some.. no way :> Kiev starts on the weekend.. 9 day event ? 1 day off and then 6 days @ IEM Katowice with many top teams attending both jesus..

2018-02-12 04:35
Inferno is a tough map to just pug on without having synergy and great comms and bad rotations destroy the CT side. T side is also high difficulty so it makes sense they would just not bother, as NAF said comfort maps worked out for them it was well done Don't be surprised to see them play it and beat handy inferno teams on it at Kiev, a lot can be discussed in a week Z E W S G O D : )

After the 3-16 result on inferno vs NiP, they did the following: 1 - Removed it first vs cloud9 2 - Removed it first vs Torqued 3 - Didn't removed it vs Heroic (the Danes did, they picked cobble as decider, instead of inferno) 4- Didn't removed it vs SK (FalleN did, as his second ban) 5 - Removed it first vs cloud9 again, on the grand final Interestingly, they only banned inferno vs c9 and Torqued, the two NA teams they faced...

NAF looks like rock-n-roll star. Offspring of Elvis and Cash.

Sad isn't it.. no thanks HS can fuck off LUL Might as well think about getting a young Aussie talent now, this loss really hurt our boys.. either someone with potential or a playmaker with experience I guess Just shitty isn't it, back to a serious building phase again unless the exact right player is slotted in

Well are there any aussie youbg talents right now? Cuz I couldn’t notice any :/

ORDER has some good players but they are locked in, been some shuffles between Athletico and Chiefs etc not sure about our scene much, but moves have been happening so who knows But yeah tough task.. maybe HS would be a good pickup at the right price, I think it'd be better to get someone free who isn't in a contract was my general thought, its a tough one though yep

Deserved, nitro and NAF play really good on this tournament

he's been the real MVP since optic. i'm surprised he wasn't bought out by a top team earlier than this

Who would get him NA has 2 "top tier" teams being C9 and Liquid and no top EU team would take this guy they have better riflers than him already. New fags don't even know Naf Fly played on Liquid back in 2015 and they kicked him after only 2 months lol stop acting like he hasn't had chances he just wasn't at the level he is now. Clear also in the past he had attitude issues, he's a very emotional player you can see that when he plays.

I was referring to the "since optic" era. like.. optic that won eleague. in my opinion this was when he became a huge impact player. i don't really care about the fact that he got kicked from liquid back when he was less valuable

All I was saying is you kind of made it out to seem like he didn't get any chances when he had chances already for Liquid, Optic and Renegades. Optic for me was more Tarik, idk man I don't even think Tarik is that sick but he has these periods where he's just the best player in NA along with mixwell, rush and naf they seemed like a pretty dangerous team at the time but stanislaw turned out to be a snake and end up leaving for Liquid ofc it didn't take long for Liquid to kick stanislaw either cause he's shit and now i dont even know what team he plays for or even does he even still play?

I like this guy but he's really over rated but it's nice to see him getting some shine he's always been a good player and it's nice to not see him being wasted on a dogshit team like renegades.
