ECS Season 5 Europe Closed Qualifier team list finalized

After a total of eight qualifiers, including one for CIS teams, the best two squads from each have assured themselves a place in the closed qualifier, which will take place on February 17-18.

Just like in North America, this stage of the qualifying process will hand out four spots for the ECS Challenger Cup, where teams will then try to book one of the two available positions in the next season of the league.

AGO are one of the top contenders in the closed qualifier

From the CIS region, EPG and DreamEaters secured their spot in the closed qualifier, while LPSP and MANS NOT HOT were the ones who prevailed in Northern Europe. Representing Western/Central Europe are AGO and Sprout, who fairly easily grabbed the top two placings in the qualifier.

As for the South East Europe qualifier, x6tence and Windigo qualified over the likes of Valiance and Nexus, although both later managed to qualify in the first and third European qualifiers, respectively.

After this stage, the top four squads will join GODSENT, Heroic and two invited sides in the ECS Season 5 Europe Challenger Cup, which will run on March 10-11.
