North invited to Copenhagen Games 2018

The organizers of Copenhagen Games have announced that North received the first invitation for the event taking place at the end of March.

The prize pool of this year's Copenhagen Games has almost doubled compared to last year's event which offered $56,300 in cash prizes. Copenhagen Games 2018 will have a minimum prize pool of $100,000 thanks to a partnership with television provider Waoo and will take place from March 28 to April 1.

The first confirmed team for CPH Games is North

North, who have recently underwent roster changes with Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye and Daniel "mertz" Mertz's additions, received one of the four invites and will be at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark at the end of March.

In his statement, the CEO of North expressed their enthusiasm to play in front of their home crowd at the Bella Center:

"Playing abroad is always a fun experience but there's something quite special about playing at home, about playing in front of a Danish audience. That's why we're so excited to announce our participation at Copenhagen Games 2018." said Christian Sørensen, the CEO of North.

"It gives our wonderful Danish community the chance to see us live and we're looking forward to seeing all our dedicated North fans in Bella Center Copenhagen this Easter!"

The remaining three invites, tournament format, and prize money distribution will be revealed as the tournament date draws near. There will also be four open qualifiers to round out the team list.

Expected news lol This should be a good event considering the lower level teams have been improving lately
2018-02-15 13:36
you know the team is dead when they have to attend cph games. disband if they can´t even win this tier4 event
2018-02-15 13:39
Or maybe they're just being smart and using it as an opportunity to bond together as a team and work on their teamplay and strategy Better than going out in groups the first Tier 1 tourney they play because they were using it to learn

It'd be more fun I think to have four invites from like each corner of the CS globe. North for Denmark CS. A Class of their own. Although probably should be Astralis Cloud 9 SK Faze But I have no idea what hte rules of invitation are for this tournament so who knows.
2018-02-15 18:56
As long as Astralis wins
2018-02-16 22:45
Stop inviting this team
