IEM Katowice viewer's guide

With IEM Katowice 2018 set to start on Tuesday, here are all the details you need to know ahead of the $500,000 event, including schedule, on-air team, prize money breakdown, and more.

Running from Tuesday to Sunday, IEM Katowice 2018 will see 16 teams from all over the world duke it out for a share of the $500,000 prize pool, with the winner collecting $250,000.

This will be the sixth event in consideration for the Intel Grand Slam, which will award $1 million to the first team who wins four out of the ten eligible competitions. SK are currently leading the race, with two victories, while NiP, FaZe and G2 have one apiece.

FaZe will be one of the favourites in Katowice

IEM Katowice will begin with two eight-team double-elimination groups, featuring best-of-three matches after the opening round. The group winners will go straight to the semi-finals, while the losing finalists and the third-placed sides will advance to the first round of the playoffs. The knockout stages, held at the Spodek Arena, will culminate with the best-of-five grand final.

Yeah we've had a little packed schedule lately, stuff will quiet down in April though after WESG, don't want a CS drought like in December 17 though so I'm enjoying this, logging in twitch and always having a match or a rerun to watch xD
