Astralis invited to DreamHack Masters Marseille
DreamHack have confirmed Astralis as their second invited team for DreamHack Masters Marseille, via Twitter.
Following the announcement of home favourites G2, it is Astralis' turn to be announced for the $250,000 event, held in Marseille, France from April 18-22. The playoffs is scheduled to take place on the last two days in front of a live audience at Le Dôme de Marseille.
Earlier this month, Astralis signed former OpTic member Emil "Magisk" Reif, to fill in the void left by Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye's departure to North. The team debuted at StarSeries i-League Season 4 and was knocked out in the quarter-finals by the runner-up of the event, Natus Vincere. The Danes will face Renegades in the opening match-up of IEM Katowice today.
Information regarding the European and North American qualifiers have not been revealed by DreamHack yet. Meanwhile, the Asian qualifiers have already begun, with four teams confirmed for the closed stage, set to take place from March 6-8.
