The slot allocation for the ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals has been finalised, the tournament organisers have revealed.
Europe's qualifying slots have increased by one to seven, while North America will continue to have six representatives at the season finals, despite the fact that its league was reduced to 12 teams following the withdrawals of Misfits and CLG.
As announced earlier in the week, the Asia-Pacific region will have two teams, who will be determined by a regional event that will be held in Sydney. The final spot will go to a region/country that has not yet been revealed by ESL.
The Pro League Season 7 Finals will run from May 14-20 and culminate with a live event at the Verizon Theatre, in Dallas, where the bulk of the season's $1 million prize pool will be at stake.
The event will feature four more teams than the previous editions as ESL plans to use the same format for all of its big CS:GO competitions - 16 teams and a double-elimination group stage leading to the playoffs.
