With WESG 2017 World Finals set to start on Tuesday, we bring you a viewer's guide with all the details you need regarding the event.

Held at the Haikou International Convention & Exhibition Center, the WESG 2017 World Finals will run from Tuesday to Sunday with a total of 28 teams battling it out for a share of the $1.5 million prize pool.

The event was due to have 32 attending squads, but Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev's Ukraine, NOREG, Viva Algeria and EMC have withdrawn from the competition. Still, the team list includes some impressive names such as SK, Cloud9 and fnatic.

WESG will kick off with a best-of-one group stage

Below you can find the group draw for the tournament, which includes Group E and H with only two teams, who are through to the next stage but will still have to play each other for seeding purposes:

Should be comfortable top2 for either SK or C9. Both should at least be able to get to top4 easily unless they meet in the quarter finals Everyone else except fnatic, is way off their level. Maybe space soldiers can do something aswell

I don't usually bet for tournament winners and I don't bet matches I can't follow so I missed on both SK games... Still a huge upset for SK to go out in groups, couldn't really predict that

The WESG competition (qualifiers etc.) started in 2017 though the World Finals event part takes place in 2018. Therefore the name of the event is still WESG 2017.

Does nobody else find it ridiculous that 4 teams are moving on without actually having to qualify for the next stage but either Big or Russia are not going to make it even though they are better than more than half the teams at the even? Kind of blows

Completely stupid but not surprizing in such a mediocrely organiazed event. They simply should have put the 24 teams from the 4 teams groups in 24 balls, pick 2. The first one goes to NV's group, the second one goes to ORDER's group. It's way more fair to have four 3 teams groups than six 4 teams groups and two 2 teams groups (instantly qualified).
