StarLadder & Imbatv to host $150,000 invitational

StarLadder and Imbatv have announced that they have joined forces once again to host an invitational CS:GO tournament with $150,000 on the line.

The event will run from March 22-25 in the Chinese city of Chongqing, marking the return of a Starladder competition to this Asian country, which hosted an invitational tournament in Shanghai in November.

Unlike that event, the Chongqing invitational will not feature any qualifiers, with all eight teams being invited, four of whom will travel straight from the WESG Finals - MVP PK, AGO, BOOT-d[S] and SCARZ Absolute.

AGO invited to StarLadder event

The StarLadder Imbatv Invitational will begin with two four-team double-elimination groups, featuring best-of-three matches in the lower bracket. The top two teams from both groups will advance to the single-elimination, best-of-three playoffs.

Below you can find the full team list for the Chinese event:

Russia Vega Squadron Russia Spirit
Poland AGO China TYLOO
China Flash Korea MVP PK
Singapore BOOT-d[S] Japan SCARZ Absolute

Idk I could understand that since its starseries and the teams at these usually aren't tier 1 or high tier 2 but renegades won the last I league so it doesn't real make much sense unless starladder see them better than they were at the first I league.

There are 2 different star ladder tournaments I league 150k and starseries 250k or 300k the completion at starseries has all the best teams it's sort of like iem while I league has lower tier teams hltv.org/events/3190/sl-i-league-invitat.. was the last starladder I league.

4 of the invited teams are already in China for WESG, so no worries for this event. The other are 2 Chinese and 2 Russian teams, no bigger Visa problems either I think.
