caike leaves TeamOne
Caike "caike" Costa is no longer part of TeamOne's active roster, the Brazilian organisation has announced.
On Twitter, TeamOne wished the player well for the future but did not mention the reason behind his sudden departure from the squad.
The news comes as a major surprise given that the Brazilian team had just placed fourth at the WESG Finals - their greatest achievement yet - after stunning ELEAGUE Major Boston champions Cloud9 in the quarter-finals.
Caike "caike" Costa had been on TeamOne's ranks since October, when he joined the team from Furia to replace current Não Tem Como member Bruno "bit" Lima. While playing under the organisation, the 23-year-old also helped the team to win the Legion Challenge and the WESG 2017 South American Finals.
On Twitter, caike revealed that he will go back to São Paulo after spending the last months in North America with the team, and he suggested that he is looking forward to the next chapter in his career.
"I would like to thank TeamOne for my time there and I wish all the best to my former teammates," caike wrote on Twitter.
"If there is something that life has taught me is that I should not be afraid to start over. I will come back stronger."
TeamOne, who are through to the second upper bracket round in Gfinity Winter Series following a default win over Rage, now have:
Pedro "Maluk3" Campos
Victor "iDk" Torraca
Alencar "trk" Rossato
Jean-Michel "mch" D'Oliveira
