TyLoo, Spirit to StarLadder ImbaTV Invitational Chongqing grand final

Both semi-finals in Chongqing finished 2-0 as TyLoo upset AGO (22-18 Cache, 16-14 Inferno) and Spirit took down MVP PK (16-14, 16-8).

The first semi-final that took place saw AGO take on TYLOO, who eliminated Vega Squadron earlier in the tournament to make it to the playoffs. The series kicked off on Cache, where TYLOO took control of the game in the first half despite AGO having a good, 4-2 start as Terrorists.

After switching sides with 9 rounds in the bag, Hui "DD" Wu and co. got five in a row and looked like they would be finishing the map quickly, but the Poles struck back and forced the game into overtime. Unfortunately for them, AGO wasn't able to complete the comeback in the added rounds and TYLOO closed it out 22-18.

xccurate's squad picked up another European scalp

A similar story repeated on the second map, Inferno, as the Chinese-Indonesian squad finished their CT side with a respectable 10-5 lead and advanced it to 13-6 shortly in the second half. Then, AGO went on a run of eight consecutive rounds won, taking a 14-13 lead, but with the help of Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand and Kevin "xccurate" Susanto, who had a great game, TYLOO was able to close out the map 16-14 and the series 2-0.

Spirit and MVP PK's series started on Mirage, the map pick of the Korean side. The CIS team grabbed hold of the match on the CT side, from the first gun round onwards, only dropping three rounds after the initial three that MVP PK took.

Leading in the fragging department was Spirit's newest signing Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev, with Hae-Sung "HSK" Kim doing his best to match his output on the other side. MVP PK was able to take the lead at one point, putting together a solid CT side, but Spirit stole it away by winning five of the last six rounds.
The next map was Nuke, Spirit's pick, on which the CIS side was quick to establish themselves as CT thanks to a force-buy win in the second round. HSK won a 1v1 in round 9 to bring back the score to 4-5, but the sites were on lockdown after that and Spirit ended the half 10-5 up.
Winning the second pistol round was key for MVP PK to have a shot in the game, however, Spirit dominated in gun rounds and easily took the map 16-8 to move on to the grand final
