HellRaisers, Gambit & Virtus.pro invited to Bets.net Masters

With three invited teams being announced and three qualified teams decided, the majority of the competition at the $100,000 Bets.net Masters LAN is now known.

Bets.net Masters is a new LAN tournament series organized by StarLadder, in which four invited teams and four teams coming from the Bets.net Challenger Series will battle it out in a BO3 double-elimination format.

The Challenger Series start with a Draft stage, where 32 teams are split into two 16-team Swiss groups—one group for European and one for CIS teams. A second group stage and playoff stage follow, with the two best teams from each region grabbing a LAN spots in the end.

Virtus.pro have another event to play shortly after impressing at V4

For the first edition of the tournament, which will be held in the Kiev Cybersport Arena on April 5-8, HellRaisers, Virtus.pro and Gambit have received invites, while the last invited team hasn't been revealed yet.

From the Challenger series forZe, Fragsters and Red Reserve will be joining them, while the last team will be the winner of a BO3 series between GODSENT and Spirit.

The tournament will be played out in a BO3 double-elimination format, with the $100,000 prize pool to be distributed in the following way:

My point is that every LAN VP has been to since Katowice 17 was an invite. And within that time they've only had good placings at about 3 tournaments but no wins. MICHU's been great, yes. But if VP don't want to fall any further the rest of the team needs to step it up. Eventually, they may no longer get invites and have to go through qualifiers. And I'm pretty sure that you are aware of VP's online performance.
