BLAST Pro Series Istanbul dates moved
The dates of BLAST Pro Series' next stop in Istanbul, Turkey, have been moved from June 22-23 to June 23-24.
The rescheduling of the next BLAST Pro Series stop comes as a response to fans' complaints regarding the original date, which coincided with university exams across the country.
Although the exams will continue on June 24, the number of students affected is considerably lower compared to the original date of the second portion of BLAST Pro Series Istanbul, according to the organizers.
The first part of the tournament, which will be played off-stage without audience, has also been moved a day further, BLAST's Director of Esports Operations, Frederik Byskov, confirmed on Twitter.
BLAST Pro Series Istanbul will thus be played from June 23-24, with $250,000 on offer in the six-team tournament. All participants have already been revealed, although details on the tournament format are yet to be announced. The first tournament in Copenhagen saw six teams play in a round-robin group stage, from which top two sides went on to face off in the grand final.
