ORDER qualify for MDL Global Challenge over Tainted Minds
ORDER have defeated Tainted Minds in the grand final of ESEA MDL Season 27 Australia and qualified for the Global Challenge LAN.
Three months of online action witnessed the top eight Australian teams advance to the playoffs stage and duke it out during the past few days. Due to scheduling issues, Grayhound and Corvidae forfeited their opening quarter-final match-ups against Dark Sided and ORDER respectively.
Meanwhile, Tainted Minds continued their flawless streak of wins by beating Control and Dark Sided, ending up with a 20-0 map win record before reaching the grand final. Defending champions Chiefs ran over Legacy but fell short to Chris "emagine" Rowlands' men in the semis afterwards.
The grand final kicked off with a dominant 12-3 showing on the attacking side by Alistair "aliStair" Johnston's crew on Train. Shortly, ORDER successfully closed it out 16-11 on the CT side against Ryan "zewsy" Palmer and co.
Heading into the next map, Tainted Minds managed to secure seven T rounds in the first half of Cache but failed to deliver following the switch. ORDER had no trouble widening the gap in scores and claimed the second map with another 16-11 scoreline and the series itself.
