Vega Squadron bench keshandr, mir
Vega Squadron have announced that they are ready to listen to offers for Nikolay "mir" Bityukov and Sergey "keshandr" Nikishin.
In a statement, Vega Squadron explained that the players had recently "started experiencing problems", which resulted in the team being "divided into two groups", one of them advocating for "radical changes, in terms of practice, the approach to Counter-Strike and some general questions."
Sergey "keshandr" Nikishin and Nikolay "mir" Bityukov have been part of Vega Squadron since November 2016, when the Russian team returned to the organisation after a short-lived first stint in 2015. They played a key role in Vega Squadron's journey to become one of the strongest teams in Eastern Europe, with two CIS Minor titles and two Major appearances under their belt.
But since their 9th-11th place finish at the Boston Major the Russian team have been in disappointing form, finishing 7th-8th at cs_summit2 and 5th-6th at the StarLadder Chongqing Invitational.
Team coach Artem "Fierce" Ivanov lamented that the team "could not find a compromise", admitting that these personal issues led to a "decline in individual and team results."
