compLexity and Bravado through to ESL One Belo Horizonte closed qualifier
compLexity and Bravado have made it all the way through the ESL One Belo Horizonte open qualifier to complete the closed qualifier team list.
The North American closed qualifier team list is now determined, with six teams ready duke it out in the closed qualifier set to be played on April 13-14. North America will only see one team make it through the qualifying process to the $200,000 event held in Brazil, which will take place on June 13-17.
Complexity fought tooth and nail against Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado’ The Pioneers in the best-of-one quarter-final on Train, where Alec "Slemmy" White and co. kept their composure through two overtime rounds to secure the win. The semifinals saw Complexity breeze through Train to take the series lead, but Mythic came rallying back to equalize the series on Inferno. In the end, it was Complexity to dominate on Cobblestone 16-6 to clinch their spot in the closed qualifier.
The South Africans of Bravado saw the lighter side of things on the other side of the bracket as their quarterfinal matchup against Swole Patrol resulted in a confident 16-7 win. Moving on, Dimitri "Detrony" Hadjipaschali and his men faced Etherian in the semifinals, and swept the series across Overpass and Inferno to advance to the closed qualifier.
