Dust2 returns to Active Duty map pool in latest update

The legendary map makes it return to the Active Duty map pool in place of Cobblestone, accompanied by some other minor changes in the update.

The map pool change goes live on 4/20/2018, with the title "Smoke Mid Every Day" Valve reintroduced Dust2 to the map pool and announced that it would be used for the upcoming FACEIT Major in London.

Dust2 will be played at the FACEIT Major

Cobblestone was moved into the "Defusal Group Delta" casual map group, and will still be playable in different game modes. As of now, it remains to be seen how different tournament organizers will react to this news and when Dust2 will be added to their tournament map pools.

Alongside with the biggest change, Valve have added Nuke to the Wingman mode and fixed a bug that was impacting server performance.

Basically all the maps should be tweaked or generally changed more often or we will see stagnant plays with the same meta. I liked 1.6 better anyway, but if you want to make that game anyhow entertaining in the future, then just deal with it, that you are gonna have to make CHANGES. Drastic or not, but changes. E.g. diversify the weapons, make them different (like r8). You gotta catch the spirit of cs - 5v5 format, cts and tts. All beyond can be changed for the better. Haters are welcome :)
