Dates, location for Asia Championships revealed

Perfect World has revealed the dates and location for the 2018 CS:GO Asia Championships.

The event will run from June 14-18 at the Shanghai Indoor Stadium, a 12,000-seater multi-purpose gymnasium located close to the Shanghai Stadium.

With a prize pool of $300,000, the CS:GO Asia Championships will feature eight teams, six of whom have already been determined. The final two spots will go to the top two sides of a Chinese qualifier, the details of which will be announced on Friday.

Last two teams will come from a Chinese qualifier

DreamHack Masters Marseille losing finalists Natus Vincere headline the list of participants for the event, which will clash with another international competition, ESL One Belo Horizonte, where the likes of FaZe, SK and mousesports will be in attendance.

The team list for the Asian event currently looks as follows:

Korea MVP PK Ukraine Natus Vincere
Sweden NiP Denmark Heroic
France Envy Poland Virtus.pro
China China qualifier #1 China China qualifier #2

I understand, but usually they will hire English casters for that. Are Twitch and YouTube available in China? Or would they need to VPN around the system?

Is Twitch popular at all in China? Or do these other streaming services dominate the general market? Or is it just because these other streaming services sponsor the event that it's streamed on their rather than Twitch? Thanks for responding btw :)

Twith is totally not popular at all, other streaming services like douyu tv and panda tv almost dominate the general market. And there's huomao tv focus on E-Sports tournaments streaming,if you also watch dota2,you should know Vici Gaming was sponsored by huomao.

Let me get this right, NA'VI and NiP right now are really unstable, NiP hasn't won one tournament after coming first in IEM Oakland, they got rid of Xizt and replaced it by Dennis the pistol god, but things just still haven't been working out. NA'VI, we know they can be really good, but they haven't really come 1st in any big tournament since DreamHack Open Winter 2017, they need Consistency. But in tournaments like this, they have a chance, because teams like VP and EnVyUs don't even think about winning. I think with the new NiP roster, they can be really good, even tho they didn't win DreamHack Marseille, but they had a really good start beating both SK and mousesports, as long as draken and GeT_RiGhT so what their suppose to do, the chances of NiP getting that trophies are huge. What I think: 1st - NiP 2nd - Heroic 3rd - NA'VI 4th - MVP PK 5th - VP last - EnVyUs
