TyLoo beat Cloud9 to advance to IEM Sydney playoffs

TyLoo have sealed passage to the IEM Sydney 2018 playoffs after defeating Cloud9 on two maps (16-10 on Inferno, 16-14 on Overpass).

The last series of the day kicked off on Inferno, TYLOO's map pick. The Chinese side got off to a dream start on the Terrorist side, winning nine of the first ten rounds of the game. That was when Cloud9 finally found some breathing room, but they still found themselves trailing their opponents by seven at the end of the half.

In the second half, Cloud9 responded to TYLOO's pistol round win with a successful force-buy, but they could not follow that up. The Asian team went on to hit 14 rounds, but then Cloud9 found a lifeline as they picked up four rounds in a row. However, TyLoo would go on to reach map-point with nothing but CZs, and then they lost a single round before closing out the map, 16-10.

TyLoo through to the IEM Sydney playoffs after beating SK and Cloud9

Next up was Overpass, Cloud9's map pick, where TYLOO started off on the right foot as they secured their CT pistol thanks to a 1v1 clutch from Kevin "xccurate" Susanto. A successful third-round buy marked the beginning of a great run from Cloud9, who would take an 8-3 lead.

TYLOO picked up the pace and bagged the final four rounds of the half to bring the deficit to a minimum, and they followed that up with a flawless Terrorist pistol to restore parity at 8-8.

Cloud9 responded immediately, setting themselves up for an 11-9 lead, but TYLOO were quick to react. The Chinese side won five of the next six rounds to take a 14-12 lead and kept their cool despite losing two in a row. Even with their economy in shambles, TYLOO were able to hit match point on a very weak buy before wrapping things up to punch their ticket to the playoffs.

And? Doesn't mean you get a pass on making idiotic statements cause you're older. Most of the time its the opposite

.... I wasn't the one who made the original comment. I was making a counter to his comment to the other user as on observation.
2018-05-01 20:38
Yeah, didn't realize it wasn't you, my bad. He wasn't trying to really counter the argument though, he literally was just making the point that you can't call someone a kid when you're a teenager yourself.
2018-05-02 00:38
Asian logic dude. More ages have to be smarter xDDD
2018-05-02 03:35
But he didn't say that.
2018-05-02 03:59
I mean that chineseguy’s logic..
2018-05-02 05:26
He didn't say what you're saying he said, dude.
2018-05-02 06:56
I mean the reason he said he is 2x older than him because he thinks older ages must be smarter that’s asian logic. You know what I’m sayin
2018-05-02 08:15
He may very well think that, but his statement doesn't imply it.
2018-05-02 16:15
Are you sure about that? I could've put any age, think about that. Right now just the fact that you think that being older by "2x" supposedly makes you superior to me makes you more of a childish cum dumpster. Move on "delusional kid".
2018-05-02 01:46
You're putting words into his mouth, he didn't say anything about being superior because of age. He was calling you out because you called him a kid.

IEM Sydney. Has been an annual tournament. Just cause teams are getting upset doesn’t make it a bad tournament by any standards. Sk have not looked in great form for a few months and Faze have not looked as strong since they lost Olof. C9 looked decent with FNS but still need to fully intergrate him into the lineup( also skadoodle is not improving in form. Still just a decent awper. He is not back to his great form. )Its also the teams fault for jet lag. They could have been their earlier than a day in order to get over the jet lag. But alot of these games are quite close. Ex: Faze vs Rng.

I'm finding it difficult not to rule out poor tournament structure. This bo3 was started at 10PM after the Renegades vs FaZe matches, meaning play wouldn't of finished until well after midnite (or there abouts). Unless your pumping redbulls this seems like a recipe for poor decision making and gamesense.
