HellRaisers pull out of EPL S7 due to visa issues; Heroic to fill in
Due to visa complications for one of their players, HellRaisers have pulled out of the upcoming tournament.
The Ukraine-based organization have revealed that they would not be competing at the ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals LAN as their AWPer Özgür "woxic" Eker has been denied entry visa for the United States, despite multiple attempts.
With that news, HellRaisers have decided against using their coach or using a player added as an emergency transfer, instead dropping out of the tournament.
woxic's visa has previously been an issue as well, as HellRaisers skipped out on DreamHack Austin and fielded a substitute at the StarSeries Invitational last year. Instead of HellRaisers, Heroic will be attending the ESL Pro League Finals, with the team using an emergency transfer to add Jorgen "cromen" Robertsen to the lineup, who will play instead of the illness-struck Ruben "RUBINO" Villarroel.
The groups and initial matchups now look as follows:
|Natus Vincere||vs.||MVP PK|
Unfortunately my visa declined and my teammates don't wanted to go with stand-in, so we decided to forfeit EPL Dallas Lan Finals.And Heroic gonna play instead of us.We took their spot in Dreamhack Tours. Sorry for all supporters i hate this visa situations. SAD!😢— HR woxic (@w0xic) May 9, 2018
