Natus Vincere beat FaZe in two maps; to semi-finals

Natus Vincere beat FaZe in two maps, 16-12 on Mirage and 16-12 on Nuke, to qualify straight to the semi-finals.

The series kicked off on Mirage, FaZe’s pick, but it was Natus Vincere that jumped first out of the gate, winning the pistol round and anti-ecos shredding the Ts apart. The lead didn’t last long, however, as FaZe started winning round after round once their economy stabilized and they had guns to a 4-4 lead. Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko then clutched a 1vs2 on B to get his team back on the lead, but after FaZe brought it back to 5-5 Håvard "rain" Nygaard then got a four-kill round to get the European combine back in the lead.

The half went to FaZe, by the slimmest of margins, but lost the pistol round. Up 10-8, Zeus came in big with three kills to make his team's lead larger. It wasn’t until the seventh round in the half that FaZe could take a round, trailing 13-9 by then. FaZe got three more rounds, spearheaded by rain who ended the map with 30 frags and 90 ADR, but not enough to stop Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev & co. who cruised to a 16-12 first map win.

Natus Vincere beat FaZe to clinch a spot in the semi-finals

The first round of Nuke went to Natus Vincere, who exploded on A and deleted FaZe off of the map. Having won the anti-ecos, s1mple & co. were then able to take the first gun round and following anti-eco for a 6-0 lead, while FaZe struggled to build an economy. Finally, FaZe were able to win a 4vs3 afterplant as Finn "karrigan" Andersen took out two and defused while Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács got the last frag. That round started a comeback from the European team, who then went on to win every round completely shutting Natus Vincere down to take the lead into the second half.

The second pistol round also went to Natus Vincere, making it four out of four in the series. After the anti-ecos, which gave Natus Vincere a 10-8 lead, FaZe quickly took the A round on the first gun round to bring it back within one. A solid defense by Egor "flamie" Vasilyev with a double opening kill and s1mple with another double denied FaZe the follow-up and reset the European team. The Ukrainian-Russian side then started to run away with it getting on match point, 15-9. FaZe then strung a couple rounds together, getting it to 12, but Natus Vincere finally closed it out to take the better spot in the playoffs.

Xizt is fucking terrible. NiP sacked him after he went 8 straight months not posting a single 1.0 rating or higher on LAN and it was a good choice as well. "Xizt is clearly playing olof's roles better than olof" Here are some facts in 5 months of play in 2018 FaZe have won 1 title, at the end of 2017 playing with Olof in the last 5 months of 2017 they won 6. You clearly are some fanboy of Xizt and I don't blame you he used to be a decent player, but he was always a terrible IGL judging by how NiP never adapted to the meta with him and kept old play styles that clearly didn't work (reminds me of Happy) but Happy is actually a decent fragger that's the difference. Olof is 100x better than Xizt and FaZe were a WAY better team playing with Olof not even debatable.
2018-05-20 03:16
Olof was never meant to play the gay passive-aggressive roles that he plays on faze. He only does it because he lost his former firepower. Xizt is a much better support player imo, the team works better with 3 stars than 4.

s1mple + electronic + flamie = top tier firepower. S1mple and electronic can win games by themselves and flamie is a very consistent and reliable rifler. edward = good support player (sometimes he does some stupid plays, but he is ok for a support role) zeus = good calls when not tilted

Zeus and Edward needs only for dropping AK for S1mple/Elec and facechecks positions
2018-05-18 09:20
+1 I think they have ENOUGH Fire-power. 3 Fraggers when 1 of which is top1 in the World is far enough. Edward can be just a good support + smart oldschool with good experience and he can be in this roster at least for team synergy. Zeus proved MANY TIMES that he is Godlike IGL, and his fragging ability doesn't really matter right know. Just look at other IGLs... They are mostly all low fraggers, but people blame only Zeus. It's weird...
