dupreeh claims ESL Pro League S7 Finals MVP award

Astralis player Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen is the recipient of the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award of the ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals by HLTV.org & Betway.

The 25-year-old beat off competition from teammates Nicolai "device" Reedtz and Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander for the award after being Astralis' best player in their map wins in Dallas - which not even the AWPer's 1.38 rating in the final could overshadow.

Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen had the second-highest rating in Astralis (1.31) and 1+ ratings in all but one of the 11 maps that he played - the 16-14 defeat to Liquid on Mirage, his team's only defeat in the tournament.

dupreeh wins his first MVP medal

And while dupreeh did not lead any stats leaderboard, he was featured in the top five in nine categories besides rating, including KDD (+55), ADR (88.7), LAST (75.7%) and opening kills (39).

This is the very first MVP award for dupreeh, who has been featured in our top 20 Players of the Year list on four occasions, the last of which in tenth place - his highest to date.

and device +30 in the final, dupreeh -1
2018-05-21 01:49
And Device is better or only just behind Dupreeh in all of the listed leaderboards, plus others where Dupreeh isn’t even top five, I don’t understand HLTV, there is no real reasoning, that’s why the article is so short

wtf, it should have been device ! better rating, better kda, better final rating and mvp of the final meanwhile dupreeh was average at best. device > gla1ve > dupreeh > Magisk > Xyp9x. > this is the shadiest MVP award so far, if any HLTv officials would care to explain to me the reason behind this because i have arguments that clearly shows that device should have had the MVP.
2018-05-21 01:31
The mirage part shouldnt matter because its not like dupreeh was performing at all while devve was a monster on ct side

Thanks for giving the tweet but this time tgwri1s, maybe deice slowed down on the second half but dupreeh was never there ! :gyazo.com/c10ec55f2ffac05338f7d6e15568fd.. What the fuck, this this the worst argument ive seen, even without D2 ! Without D2 dupreeh ends up with a negative rating and a -7 kda, meanwhile device stays the MVP !

Basically he is saying that device's stats was highly boosted by the dust 2 win while on mirage where he had a great game in the first half didn't show up in the 2nd half so they lost (not enough impact for them to win). Whereas on both Nuke and Inferno combining with the rest of the tournament dupreeh has better rating and impact than device. This is how I sees the reasoning from Peter. Really anyone from Device Glaive and Dupreeh deserves the MVP

1- Dupreeh got boosted by D2 too, without D2 dupreeh isn't having a positiv rating. ( Wtf HELLOOOOOOO?? ) 2- Device did something on mirage atleast lo, just look at the mirage scoreboard and what's your argument guys " device falled off the second half "; dupreeh just never showed up on this map :gyazo.com/4bb89ab2593c6cc9a03b1c6ad10117.. 3- Even by taking only Nuke & Inferno, wich is completly retarded but ill do it anyway to prove that you are wrong. Device end up with a 1.19 rating with a +8kda, meanwhile dupreeh has a 1.16 rating with a +2kda. Even in the worst condition possible for device he still is better statisticly. This is bullshit, everyone with eyes can see it, there no explanation because you can't have one, this is a failure.

1. Not true, dupreeh would have a positive rating (I did the maths) 2. They lost mirage anyway so why bother to even look at the stats? (It didn’t help them to achieve anything for the win) - Peter’s reasoning 3. I said Nuke & Inferno + the rest of the maps they played in the tournament, not only these 2 maps: MVP isn’t about the final only, it is the MVP of the whole tournament. Which excluding Mirage and Dust 2 dupreeh should have a higher rating than device (I didn’t do the maths so I’m not 100% sure, but most likely is) PS: Please learn to read more carefully so you don’t misunderstand the words other people say: I didn’t say shit about my opinion on why dupreeh should win MVP over device, I just tried to explain what peter said and how it can make sense. If I was to give MVP I would most likely give it to device so please shut your mouth when you haven’t read my words careful enough.

1- Turns out i did the math too, but i added two things more over the base results. I always do the -0.06 rating because rating 2.0 is not having a base of 1 but 1.06 on average. Also Dupreeh having a rating less than his original rating should be considered an underperformance. ( x < 1.16 rating 2.0 ) 2- They tried, and dupreeh underperformance was the reason among others on why they failed, your logic is completly not adapted. " They lost mirage anyway so why bother to even look at the stats? " They win "insertxmap" anyway so why bother to even look at the stats? See the probleme ? It's fine if you underperform and you win, not if you loose and it has never been in CS bro. 3- Finals is more important than a random ass BO1, i mean it's so fucking evident ( Playoff > groups ) and even HLTV counts this as a parameter and usually it is a strong factor, anyhow device rating's is better overall and in the finals. > Mm not gonna learn anything, its not my probleme if your pussy mentality skin takes an explanation for a personal attack, i understood you tried to explain the reasonning behind dupreeh winning the MVP medal. me i just stated how it was bullshit yet you take this personally ( logic much lmao, not ur strong point nigga ). I guess you need more than 6 month on this site to get points and logic correctly inserted into your brain. Cheers.

The Astralis squad is a close knitted one. They actually really do love each other. I'm sure glaive or device or magisk wouldn't mind that the MVP went to dupreeh. In fact they will be proud of him knowing that it will encourage him to perform even better in upcoming events

really felt like magisk deserved it if we only looking at semi-finals and finals, simply put magisk carried them to victory, winning pretty much every single man disadvantage situation, pulling the situation back to even or outright winning the round. For sure the finals mvp, he carried them to victory.
