Uniquestars qualify for Asia Minor

Uniquestars defeated FATE in the final of the Asia Minor Middle East & South Asia Open Qualifier 2-1 (16-13 Inferno, 6-16 Overpass, 16-11 Mirage), securing a spot at the Asia Minor in London.

Uniquestars reached the final by defeating their countrymen coREA in the quarters and then edging ex-Next Generation in the semis, 2-1. Meanwhile, FATE beat bluuuuud and then eliminated NASR, featuring names such as Mohammed "k1tkat" Al-Nuaimi, Khalid "KarriBob" Al-Junaibi and Obaid "breAker" Al-Muhairi to get to the final.

Inferno kicked off the series, with FATE running up a 5-1 advantage after winning the second-round force. Uniquestars managed to recover by the end of the half, finishing it 8-7 down, before taking the lead after the second pistol. With Lidor "LaNrefNi" Almasi and Guy "Nertz" Iluz on point, securing 32 and 29 kills respectively, the Israeli side edged a 16-13 win.

Uniquestars booked a spot at the Asia Minor which will be held in the Twickenham Stadium

Overpass followed, which despite Uniquestars' good 5-1 start, was a one-sided affair. FATE turned the game around and got eight out of the next nine T-rounds and followed that up with a perfect CT side to win Overpass 16-6 and force the decider, Mirage.

FATE had a great start to the last map, winning the force buy after losing the T pistol and running up a 3-1 lead. Uniquestars were able to win a couple of rounds before the end of the half to finish 5-10, but they couldn't tie rounds together or build a strong economy throughout the CT side.

However, when they switched to the Terrorist side, they looked indomitable, with Barak "shp3x" Schneider and Guy "anarkez" Trachtman leading the way for their team. Uniquestars won the pistol and went on to drop only two rounds on their way to a 16-11 victory and a 2-1 for the series.

Why global flag its Israeli team in Asia minor ????
2018-05-21 11:33
Flags are given based on the tournament, not the winning team. Online tournament for Middle East & South Asia = World flag.

You guys are so confusing, we play in the EU Qualifiers you'd say were not from the EU fair enough. We qualify in the Middle East Qualifiers and now you're crying we always play the EU Qualifiers Massive FacePalm

i am talking about sports i dont care about this random cs team because they will fail anyway
2018-05-21 12:07
It's like that anywhere cause well our so-called cousins don't like playing against us so we mostly play the EU Qualifiers this time around FACEIT felt its necessary for us to finally play the Middle East Final, I honestly could not give any more fucks just as you but you know :)
2018-05-21 12:08
dux, think of that way, physical sports (basketball etc...) require being played on foreign contrey (in middle east\asia its syria\lebanon\iraq\iran) which are not allowing israeli sportsmen to travel to. on esports, especially on faceit, its not on arab country\server, its on EU server, so its like competition between israel and arab team on neutral ground...
2018-05-21 13:21
team satan qualifies, real countries deserved the slot
2018-05-21 11:50
Yeah you're right real teams deserve to qualify for the minor, that's why there aren't any Palestinian teams

Not bad! I like the possibilities from smaller scenes to grab some spots at bigger tournaments. Weird that coREA didn’t get through, I thought it was the bigger team in Israeli scene. Props to FATE who beat NASR, the biggest team in ME scene imo.
