FLuffy Gangsters and Atlants to CIS Minor closed qualifier

FLG and Atlants made it through to the closed qualifier of the CIS Minor after beating WinSide and 5balls.

Atlants took the lead in the first map, Train, after winning the CT-side pistol round. They then followed it up with a gun round and reached 5-0 before 5balls was able to put one on the board on the shoulders of a double entry by Alexey "RuFire" Burakov. The euphoria didn’t last long, however, as 5balls would get instantly reset. Ultimately, though, the half became more competitive than it may have seemed before the 7-1 start, as 5balls brought it back to a 6-9 half. After the switch 5balls kept the momentum going and took a quick 14-10 lead, but a late push by Atlants brought it to a tie with two rounds left. The match then went into overtime with Atlants finally coming out on top, 19-17.

On Cache, it was the turn of 5balls to take the lead after the pistol round, but the lead didn’t last long as Atlants quickly made it even, and the match remained even several rounds later although it was finally 5balls on the Terrorist side who took control of the half with Vyacheslav "Art1st" Lyadnov and Stefan "1mpala" Ailazyan at the helm to close it out 9-6. Atlants came out kicking in the second half, winning the first four rounds to take the lead, 11-10, but 5balls finally brought it back with a solid streak of rounds late in the map to close it out and take it to the decider.

Atlants and FLG will play the closed qualifier for the CIS Minor in Twickenham

Mirage started out with Atlants taking an early 5-0 on the attacking side, but the match, which has seen swathes of rounds taken by both teams, was now about to be tied up as 5balls won five rounds of their own. Having taken the slimmest of leads into the second half, 8-7, Atlants were then able to put a gap between them and their rivals after winning the second pistol round. The half slowly became a brawl as both teams were trading rounds all the way to 15-15. The overtime on the other hand was all Atlants, who won four rounds in a row in the second overtime of the match to close it out and earn a spot in the CIS Minor closed qualifier.

FLuffy Gangsters got ahead first on Dust2, winning the defending pistol round. They then went on to dominate the map after winning the first gun round, taking round after round, not allowing WINside to properly execute all the way to a 10-5 lead at the half. The second half started with WINside taking the pistol round, but FLuffy Gangsters quickly replied as Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov got a triple with the deagle, which put the match back in FLG’s favor as they went on to close the map out 16-7.

Mirage kicked off with FLuffy Gangsters on the defending side once again, and once again they took the pistol round, although not an early lead as WINside won three of the first five rounds to make it 3-2. It didn’t take long for FLuffy Gangsters to find footing, though, taking the first half 10-5. The second half started with WINside taking the pistol and Vladislav "5lav" Tikhonov barely defusing after a 1vs3 clutch the following round. That was in vain, though, as FLuffy Gangsters closed it out on the Terrorist side, 16-7, and earning a spot to the CIS Minor closed qualifier.

They are playing together for a very short time, they will be lucky to even get to minor tbh, there's even not enough time to find both effective and comfortable for each player playstyle. But it's easier when you have someone like starix, the guy who has a big amount of experience and tactics from being a coach. Just give them some time.
