Giants qualify for DreamHack Valencia

Giants have punched their ticket to DreamHack Open Valencia after topping the Iberian qualifier with a 2-1 victory over OFFSET.

Giants reached the grand final after defeating Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas's clutchmasterz in the last-four stage, while OFFSET beat bellow Portuguese side HD to seal passage to the final round of the qualifier.

The series began on Train, where Paulo "pr" Silva led OFFSET to a close 16-12 victory on Train with a 1.47 rating. But then the Alejandro "alex" Masanet show began. The 22-year-old put in strong displays on Overpass and Inferno, averaging a 1.48 rating on these two maps to power Giants to complete the reverse sweep and seal passage to the DreamHack event.

The Spanish team's successful qualification campaign came just 24 hours after they swapped AWPers, with Miguel "Blastinho" Llombart, formerly of x6tence and MAD Lions, replacing Francisco "obj" Ramos on the roster.

They did play a qualifier to dh Valência, lost to fragsters in the final. I guess they didn't want to play in the Iberian due to the major quals.

fox and mixwell are international players, pr is a player that only plays against "outsiders" in esea main, were the quality of some players is not that big. when some caster and analists like zorlak say that he is a beast, they are comparing him with other português players, not with international players...

"Giants reached the grand final after defeating Óscar "mixwell" Cañellas's clutchmasterz in the last-four stage" This is wrong. Giants won against Movistar in the semi-finals. Previously they have also eliminated clutchmasterz, but in the quarter-finals.
