cromen to fill in for FaZe at ECS Season 5 Finals

Former Dignitas member Jorgen "cromen" Robertsen will be FaZe's fifth player at the ECS Season 5 Finals, the North American organisation have announced.

The 23-year-old will step into Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer's shoes after the Swedish player made a U-turn on his decision to return to activity as he does not feel ready to compete again just yet.

Formerly of Dignitas, cromen has been playing for Heroic as a temporary replacement for compatriot Ruben "RUBINO" Villarroel. He raised eyebrows at the ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals with an average 1.14 rating, the highest in the team.

cromen will be FaZe's fifth player in London

FaZe have been drawn alongside G2, NRG and Luminosity in Group B of the ECS Finals, which will kick off on Friday. In their first match in London, the IEM Sydney champions will take on the Brazilian side.

With cromen acting as a stand-in, FaZe will attend the British event with:

Denmark Finn "karrigan" Andersen
Bosnia and Herzegovina Nikola "NiKo" Kovač
Norway Håvard "rain" Nygaard
Slovakia Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács
Norway Jorgen "cromen" Robertsen (stand-in)

NBK is still under contract. G2 aren't about to let him play for their main group rivals knowing how good of a player he is. Especially as a direct replacement for Olof.
2018-06-06 10:52
True, that's a good point - thanks

Why say that this is biased, when he is just supporting a player and saying that he deserves a shot at the big stage?
2018-06-06 14:15
Because it IS bias since he's norwegian, doesn't make it wrong or an insult for that matter. I'm super excited that cromen gets a chance, another norwegian on the big stage. And this is also bias because i would't give 2 cent about a tier2 player from another country. This is where he can take the step up. GL cromen!

I was talking about before polly joined, as you should've understood when i wrote 2016/early 2017. In deadweight blu3 was originally the main awper, but cromen took over after he left, and were awping until polly joined.

I'm not, some one else pointed it out in a thread and I'm more than bored enough to check the HLTV forum. However, they could've still put it in one article rather than 2 as they had the info like 2-3 days ago that cromen would stand-in. "Olof to miss ECS, Cromen will stand-in".

I wonder what the hell it is going on with Olof exactly. Drug issues? Like for real it's not like CSGO is physically demanding. I'm not trying to besmirch the guy either I just don't get what could keep you out this long. Regardless nice opportunity for Crommen to show the world he's got what it takes to play at a T1 level.

patient.info/doctor/occupational-burnout my guess is something along these lines, and playing the same game dauly for a shit ton of hours and traveling, leaving little time for other things is very demanding, us humans are social creatures.

You know that's a good point. Valve could step in and fix this but they'd prefer professional CSGO just be the wild west with a different big event nearly every week. It's a shame because it makes it hard to create hype for events and it's also hard on the players. NA/Oceanic players in particular have to be jet lagged pretty much 24/7 You are probably right on.

Its often long term aswell:/ Hope the best for olofm though!
