Dignitas, Mythic to Americas Minor closed qualifier

Dignitas and Mythic have sealed passage to the Americas Minor closed qualifier after finishing top two in the second open qualifier.

Mythic were the first team to assure themselves of a spot in the closed qualifier after beating F1-racecar-PEEK in the semi-final, capping off a great run that included victories over the likes of Hyper and isaGOD.

The first map of the semi-final, Inferno, was all about Mythic, who took a commanding 11-4 lead after shutting down any chances of F1-racecar-PEEK stringing rounds together. Jake "kaboose" McDonald's team still tried to get back in the game and won the following pistol, but a five-round streak from Mythic sealed the deal for Eric "adreN" Hoag & co.

Nuke was a much closer affair, with F1-racecar-PEEK even securing a narrow one-round lead at the end of the first half. But after switching sides, Mythic set up a strong defence and constantly shut down the offensive team to lock down the map.

Dignitas, who had fallen to Bravado in the first open qualifier, took on iNTACT in the second semi-final of the qualifier after moving past Fam143 in the previous stage of the bracket.

On the first map, Inferno, Dignitas, led by an impressive Peter "ptr" Gurney, who boasted a 2.13 rating, made light work of their opponents. iNTACT still attempted a response on Overpass, but Dignitas would not let that happen and put the match to bed with an inspired performance by Mitch "mitch" Semago, who had a +17 KDD.

I think the Danish players would have gone to North regardless, just a better org with better pay. The other EU mix was just bad.

As I know, dignitas lay off the team, because they wanted to move in NA. Maybe 1 year later, they can make it...

Sucks that mythic is taking spots for a LAN qualifier, considering they won't attend the lan anyways :/ Taking away some teams chances for nothing..
