The ZOTAC Cup Masters 2018 APAC Regional Finals were won by MVP PK, securing the Korean team a place at the $300,000 event in August.

The Regional Finals event, that took place in Taipei, Taiwan, featured eight teams that competed in a single-elimination bracket for one spot at the $300,000 ZOTAC Cup Masters 2018 Grand Finals.

With TYLOO and VG.Flash invited directly to the final event, MVP PK and ORDER were the two big names in competition here, and the bracket saw them face each other in the semi-final after easily dispatching of their first-round opponents.

In a back-and-forth BO3, MVP PK was able to come out on top with a 2-1 scoreline, despite playing with Seon-Ho "termi" Pyeon instead of their usual player Hae-Sung "HSK" Kim.

XigN shined for his squad in the grand final

The Koreans, therefore, moved on to the grand final, where Signature awaited. Inferno, MVP PK's pick, started the series, with Keun-Chul "solo" Kang and co. putting together an impressive, 11-round CT side. After the switch, MVP PK struggled to find their groove for a while, but after taking just one round to Signature's seven, which saw the score tied at 12-12, the Korean team was able to unlock the defense and win Inferno 16-12.

Train followed, where MVP PK once again displayed a strong CT side, resetting the T-side early and not allowing them to secure consecutive rounds at all. Signature once again put up a valiant effort in the second half, bringing it back to 14-9, but it was too little, too late, and MVP PK got a 16-10 on Train to win the series and qualify for the Grand Finals event.
