EspiranTo 's first standout performance at an international tournament came this March at Copenhagen Games, as he led his team to the victory in Denmark with an MVP-level performance.
EspiranTo and Nemanja "nexa" Isaković were the main fragging forces for Imperial over the course of DreamHack Open Summer, but the Lithuanian outshined his Serbian teammate in the semi-final against Gambit, which gave him the edge in the MVP race. Going into the grand final, Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke and Jakob "JUGi" Hansen from OpTic were also candidates for the award, but they didn't match up to Imperial's duo in the final.
Playing a hybrid AWP-rifle role, EspiranTo was able to finish the tournament with a 1.37 rating, 0.93 kills per round, 21 opening kills and his team converting 95.2% of his openings into rounds won.
The Lithuanian only finished one map with a minimally below-average rating (0.97 in the opening match against North), with impressive displays in all the other matches earning him his first MVP award.
