Copenhagen Games 2019 announced

The organisers of Copenhagen Games have set the dates for the 2019 event, which will take place on April 17-19 and feature a "boosted" prize pool.

The exact venue has not yet been decided upon, but the organisers say that the event will "still be nested close to or in the Danish capital". They expect to announce the final location in September.

This years' tournament took place in Copenhagen's Bella Center after having spent the last 7 years in the Øksnehallen venue.

Imperial were the winners of Copenhagen Games 2018

This year's Copenhagen Games boasted a $100,000 prize pool, almost double that of the 2017 event.

In a press release, the organisers state that they "seek to continue their growth":

This means looking to improve our stages, create better and more content in terms of esports and exhibitions, but above all we want to have a bigger crowd and along with that we want better teams, so expect another boost to the prize pool on top of this.

Tickets for Copenhagen Games 2019 will go on sale in October.

"boosted" prize pool, does that mean another org is paying for the prize money?

Yes of course. The man behind this event, are known for putting a good share in his own pocket, instead of boosting the prize pool.

Most disappointing event I've ever attended. Admins didn't seem to care about a thing, whether it was pros or amateurs asking for better communication, they just didn't give 2 shits. I heard plenty of pros and semi-pros saying they are boycotting this shitshow, until they get their crap straight

This event is not about money or T1 teams . Its about the hype of young guns in order to prove themselves, to feel the vibe of a crowd for first time. Lots and lots of nonames teams are working so hard in order to get on top of BYOC groups and get raped in first games of the main event. This event is unique nowadays, remind me of old days of cs.
