Invites for EU and NA Minor Closed Qualifiers announced

FACEIT has finalized the European and North American Minor Closed Qualifier team lists by announcing the eight invited teams per region.

In each region, four open qualifiers for the respective Minors were played out, with the two best teams from each qualifier earning a placed in the closed portion of the qualifier. The eight open qualifier teams are now joined by eight more teams as FACEIT revealed the invited squads.

GeT_RiGhT and f0rest are looking to put a stop to their bad streak

In North America, NRG, who are currently 7th in our rankings, have been invited to the closed qualifier, with teams such as Rogue, eUnited, Ghost also joining the list.

The full team list for the North American Closed Qualifier, which will take place on June 22-24, is as follows:

In Europe, squads ranked between #11 and #31 received invites for the closed qualifier, with teams such as Windigo and Fragsters being the lowest ranked ones to make the cut.

Envy was one of the teams that was handed out an invite, but with the organization releasing all of its players, what will happen to their spot remains unclear.

The European Minor Closed Qualifier will take place on June 29-July 1, with the following squads in the competition:

Both qualifiers will utilize the same format, using a BO3 Swiss system to determine the eight best teams which will advance to the Minor. The initial matchups of the Swiss group stage have not yet been determined.

and why is that? Before their event win they surely didn't deserve it, teams invited were clearly above them in rankings when invites were given out.
