The match kicked off with Rokas "EspiranTo" Milasauskas and Nemanja "nexa" Isaković picking up the CT pistol for their team with clean double and triple-kills, respectively. Gambit responded with a successful B execution in the first gun round, but Imperial countered the PGL Major Krakow champions immediately following a triple-kill from Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend.
After losing two more rounds, it seemed like Gambit had found the formula to break through the defence as they went on a three-round streak, but the European mixture regained control and hit the nine-round mark without too much trouble. Before switching sides, however, the Kazakhstani squad still managed to reduce the deficit by winning the last two rounds of the half, the second of which thanks to a 1v2 clutch from Abay "Hobbit" Khasenov.
Imperial further added to their lead in the second half, securing their T-side pistol, both anti-ecos and the gun round. Žygimantas "nukkye" Chmieliauskas and kRYSTAL then turned a 2v4 situation around, setting Imperial up for an impressive 16-7 lead, with EspiranTo topping the scoreboard with an impressive 1.77 rating.
