Imperial to ZOTAC Europe Finals last-four stage over Gambit

Imperial are through to the semi-finals at the ZOTAC Cup Masters Europe Regional Finals after defeating Gambit 16-7 on Train.

The match kicked off with Rokas "EspiranTo" Milasauskas and Nemanja "nexa" Isaković picking up the CT pistol for their team with clean double and triple-kills, respectively. Gambit responded with a successful B execution in the first gun round, but Imperial countered the PGL Major Krakow champions immediately following a triple-kill from Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend.

After losing two more rounds, it seemed like Gambit had found the formula to break through the defence as they went on a three-round streak, but the European mixture regained control and hit the nine-round mark without too much trouble. Before switching sides, however, the Kazakhstani squad still managed to reduce the deficit by winning the last two rounds of the half, the second of which thanks to a 1v2 clutch from Abay "Hobbit" Khasenov.

EspiranTo was far too hot for Gambit to handle

Imperial further added to their lead in the second half, securing their T-side pistol, both anti-ecos and the gun round. Žygimantas "nukkye" Chmieliauskas and kRYSTAL then turned a 2v4 situation around, setting Imperial up for an impressive 16-7 lead, with EspiranTo topping the scoreboard with an impressive 1.77 rating.

Top 20 probably, because his team will not play versus top teams like Space Soldiers, FaZe, Cloud9, Astralis and others, not soon anyway.

Yeah but I mena, SS are playing pretty good and that's why I said top teams. I think is still about versus who you are playing, cause I don't know if Espiranto can keep his scoreboard as same versus FaZe, Astralis or Na'Vi. Hope the best for this kid! He is amazing.

Well take xantares as example, top hltv rating always positive K/D but dont play against top teams. Few times maybe and because of that never reach a top 20 ranking. Same will happen with EspiranTo if he continues to play good but against tier2/3 teams.

any reason why ?
2018-06-22 23:58
Well, if he sticks with Imperial that's never gonna happen. Let's say he gets picked up by a better team around the beginning of 2019. That team will not be a top team - no top team will take that big a chance on him - and he probably won't be the star right away, he will be just another player. Besides, we have no idea how he will adapt to different circumstances and/or pressure. Therefore, unless he's an unparalleled prodigy, there's no way he'll be top 10 in 2019.

for example ropz he was a fpl star nothing more and he got picked by mouz. btw imperial will be a solid team at the end of this year and you will see that potential on espiranto to make it on top 10
