ESL One NY closed qualifier match-ups set

The match-ups for the closed qualifiers for ESL One New York 2018 have been revealed.

Both the North American and the European qualifiers will run on June 25-26 featuring eight teams battling it out for a spot at the $250,000 event, which will take place on September 26-30.

The qualifier consists of a double-elimination bracket, with all the matches being best-of-three series except for the best-of-five grand final.

In North America, Swole Patrol and Complexity, both of whom have made their way through the open qualifier, will take on Rogue and Luminosity, respectively, in the quarter-finals stage. Renegades and NRG are waiting for their opponents in the upper-bracket semi-final due to having the higher seed in the qualifier.

The schedule for the first day of the North American qualifier looks as follows:

21:00 United States Swole Patrol vs. United States Rogue
21:00 North America Complexity vs. Brazil Luminosity
00:00 Australia Renegades vs. United States Swole Patrol/United States Rogue
00:00 United States NRG vs. North America Complexity/Brazil Luminosity

Meanwhile, the European qualifier has kicked off with invitees Heroic and HellRaisers battling it out against BIG and OpTic, respectively, with North and Gambit being the higher seeded teams waiting in the upper-bracket semi-final.

Just like in North America, the first two rounds of the lower-bracket in Europe will also be played out on Monday, with the remaining matches being held on Tuesday.
