Grayhound finalize IEM Shanghai team list

The lineup for IEM Shanghai is now set as Grayhound took the last spot after winning the Oceania qualifier, 3-1, over Chiefs.

Grayhound clinched a spot at IEM Shanghai after beating Chiefs in the best-of-five grand final of the Oceania qualifier. Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai's side came into the final from the upper bracket of the tournament after beating ORDER, which gave them a one map advantage going into the final match of the qualifier.

Gratisfaction had a great showing in the final

Chiefs, who had beaten Tainted Minds in the lower bracket final kicked off the last match of the qualifier taking the first map, Nuke, in an extremely close 16-14 map with Tyler "tucks" Reilly and Matthew "Texta" O'Rourke both getting 31 frags to even the series out, 1-1.

Overpass and Mirage were a different story, as Grayhound took the first of the two with a 16-11 scoreline thanks to a strong CT side after winning the first half by a slight 8-7. On Mirage, Chiefs won the first four rounds on the attacking side, but that is all they would get as Grayhound took 16 rounds in a row to close out the map and match with Gratisfaction earning a 2.05 rating on the map.

Grayhound remind me of Australia in the world cup for football, there to waste space in a tournament and everyone knows they will not win or achieve much.

Usually I would agree but looking at the team list they could get out of groups. I consider that an achievement for them.
