OpTic and Kinguin qualify for Europe Minor

OpTic and Kinguin have become the first two teams to book their places at the Europe Minor.

The Europe Minor Closed Qualifier featuring sixteen teams in a Swiss-style group has produced its first two qualified teams with OpTic and Kinguin winning three matches to book their place at the Europe Minor.

OpTic took on EURONICS in their first game which they secured 2-1. Then René "cajunb" Borg & co. beat Japaleno in two maps to go 2-0 in the group. In their last match, the Danes took on LeftOut who they beat 2-0. With this result, OpTic improved their record to 3-0 and qualified for the Europe Minor.

OpTic have earned the right to compete at the Europe Minor

Kinguin, on the other hand, started their qualification campaign with a 2-0 victory over Fragsters. The Polish team beat Nordavind 2-1 and then defeated Sprout with the same scoreline, securing qualification to the Minor with a 3-0 record.

The Closed Qualifier will hand out six more spots at the Europe Minor which will take place in London, UK on July 19-22 with two spots at the FACEIT Major up for grabs. You can find the current standings and upcoming matches in the Closed Qualifier on our event page.

Both had a pretty easy run, but Optic and Kinguin deserved it IMO. Should be a good minor at this rate

Well he was a good Igl still and sacrificed his stats most of the time. He literally had like the same stats as other vp members in the Boston major. And yeah he's playing really well now and I'm very happy for him and the team.

The problem with Taz wasn't that, he is less skillful then the rest of VP, there was problem with communication between him and the rest of team. Buy now GODTaz will show them. Only thing i miss is Taz-Neo colaboration. 13 years together ended that way

No, VP is already at the major, minor is the last qualifier before the major now, in the past there was a major qualifier after the minor but now it's called challengers stage (or smth like that) and that's a part of major so vp is already at the major
