Renegades, North knock out B.O.O.T-d[S], Liquid

Two more teams have been knocked out at ESL One Cologne as Renegades defeated BOOT-d[S] 2-0 and North took down Liquid with the same scoreline.

One of the Group B lower bracket round games featured Renegades and BOOT-d[S]. The best-of-three series kicked off on Cache with the Australian team on the CT-side. Karlo "USTILO" Pivac and Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad opened up the pistol round with a kill each, paving the way for Renegades' pistol round triumph.

Despite winning two anti-ecos and the first weapon round, Renegades couldn't stop the CZ75s in the fifth round of the game as BOOT-d[S] got on the board (4-1). The teams each got five more rounds in the first half and Renegades led 9-6 at halftime.

Renegades stay alive in Cologne

Aaron "AZR" Ward's triple kill in the second half pistol round made it 10-6 and Renegades strolled through the second half with a 7-2 T-side performance to win the map 16-8, taking the lead in the series.

USTILO showed up with two entry kills in the pistol round on Train which Renegades started on the T-side. BOOT-d[S] responded in the first weapon round with Benedict "Benkai" Tan's triple kill but USTILO clutched a 1vs2 in the following round to extend Renegades' lead to 4-1.

B.O.O.T-d[S] have been eliminated

BOOT-d[S] recovered and took the lead with four rounds in a row but lost a 5vs3 in the tenth round (5-5). BOOT-d[S] picked up the following two rounds but Renegades went on a three round streak to lead 8-7 at halftime.

Justin "jks" Savage & company cleaned house on the CT-side, winning eight rounds in a row and taking the map 16-7. Renegades won the series 2-0 and eliminated BOOT-d[S] at ESL One Cologne 2018.

The other lower bracket game in Group B was between Liquid and North. Train started with Liquid on the CT-side and the North Americans managed to grab the first five rounds. North recouped well, winning seven of the remaining ten rounds in the first half and trailing by only one round at halftime (8-7).

Liquid were the better side at the start of the second half as they managed to earn five map points. However, Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski's team couldn't close it out and the Danes took the game to overtime. North rode the wave of the momentum and won the map 19-16 to complete the comeback.

valde's side took the series 2-0

The CT-sided North won the pistol round on Inferno thanks to Daniel "mertz" Mertz's opening kill and double kills by Philip "aizy" Aistrup and Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen. The Danish defense stood strong during the anti-ecos and the first weapon round, giving North a 4-0 lead.

North went on to make it 10-2 but Liquid got the last three rounds to get to five rounds before halftime (10-5).

Liquid's tournament has come to an end

North extended their lead to 11-5 with a 3vs5 win in the second half pistol round. Following one more round loss, Liquid won unexpectedly during an eco round to trail 12-6. When the score was 13-11, Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye clutched a 1vs3 to win a crucial round.

aizy found two entry kills on the A-site a round later, giving North four match points. The Danes won the map 16-11 and the series 2-0, eliminating Liquid at ESL One Cologne 2018.

Gambit, B.O.O.T-d[S], NiP and Liquid - last place finishes. The list of the most overrated teams in the world XD

How exactly are Gambit/BOOT overrated?

Gambit was overrated a couple months ago after PGL because people thought they were good, since then people have realised and then they added siezed and that shitshow. They are overrated in most people's world rankings because a couple underdog teams have yet to prove themselves.
